Typhoon Ma-on just accelerated and moved out the Philippine Area of Responsibility this evening, now forecasts to move NW-ward within the next 12 hours before changing it's direction into NNW through 48 hours. Latest satellite imagery depicts a new development of a new eye/eye wall along the center of the system. However the latest development doesn't affect any landmass and remains over the water (Northwestern Pacific Ocean). Typhoon Ma-on is expected to intensify within the next 12-24 hours due to upper level environment and sea surface temperatures.
