PAGASA just upgraded Ramon as Tropical Storm, threatens Eastern Visayas-Northeastern Mindanao

ANALYSIS AND OBSERVATION

  •   just upgraded by PAGASA as a Tropical Storm with a maximum sustained winds of 65 kph with gustiness winds up to 80 kph.
  • Rainbands are currently affecting and spreading across Visayas, Mindanao and Bicol region. Estimated rainfall is from 10-30 mm/hr.
  •  expected landfall will be at Southern Leyte tomorrow afternoon and will be transversing the Northern Visayas (Northern Cebu-Panay area), losing its strength to land interaction and shall intensify again as a Tropical Storm over the West Philippine Sea on Friday.
  •  Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under PSWS are alerted against flashfloods, mudslides and landslides.
