06:30 AM PhST 06/15/2012-----------------------------------------------
ANALYSIS AND OBSERVATION
-----------------------------------------------
- latest satellite imagery shows that the main convection remains compact and dense with a slight westward movement from the low level circulation center (llcc)
- expected to track northwestward within the next 12 hours from now..becoming a Category 2 (maximum sustained winds: 176 kph and gustiness winds of 213 kph) due to favorable environment such as low VMS and very warm sea surface temperatures of the Philippines Sea
- expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon starting tomorrow across the whole Philippine archipelago. This will bring rains and windy conditions over the western sections of the country which may trigger flash floods and landslides.
