06:30 AM PhST
06/16/2012
-----------------------------------------------
ANALYSIS AND OBSERVATION
-----------------------------------------------
- animated infrared satellite imagery shows improved tightly curved convective banding wrapping into the low level circulation center
- expected to continue tracking poleward by 48 hours..intensifying and becoming a Category 4 due to very warm sea surface temperatures of the Philippines Sea and as outflow improves into the mid latitude trough
- expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon
starting today across the whole Philippine archipelago. This will bring rains
and windy conditions over the western sections of the country which may trigger
flash floods and landslides
