- expected to become a Category 5 within the next 12-24 hours...intensifying while over the warm sea surface temperatures of the Philippine Sea
- latest satellite imagery shows a symmetric eye, approximately 27.78 km wide
- expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon until Tuesday across the whole Philippine archipelago. This will bring rains and windy conditions over the western sections of the country which may trigger flash floods and landslides
