Tropical Storm Muifa has slightly intensified as it moves toward Northward, now a Typhoon. Latest satellite imagery depicts that convection is still consolidating around the Low Level Circulation Center with increased in intensity and organization. Muifa's circulation is still over the North Philippine Sea and does not affect any land areas of the archipelago. Intensification within the next 48 hours is expected as it moves NNW to Northward over the Philippine Sea heading towards Southern, Japan. This system is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the western sections of the archipelago.
