27W weakens into Tropical Depression...will regain Tropical Storm strengths tonight while moving closer to Northeastern Mindanao

  • latest satellite imagery shows deep convection consolidating closer the Low Level Circulation Center (LLCC)
  • weakens as a Tropical Depression but slightly intensification within the next 6-12 hours due to favorable  conditions, regains strength as  Tropical Storm status tonight
  • expected to move WNW within the next 48-72 hours heading towards Northeastern Mindanao-Southern Leyte area
  • Residents along Southern Bicol region, some parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao should closely monitor the  development of this active cyclone.

  • latest satellite imagery shows that limited deep convection  has started to redevelop near the Low Level Circulation Center (LLCC).
  • increasing on its forward speed is expected within the next 72 hours..may become Tropical Status status within the next 6-12 hours passing Palau early Thursday morning
  • expected to enter Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Thursday afternoon and will make landfall along the eastern coasts of Surigao del Sur early Friday afternoon and will transverse Northern Mindanao-Southern Visayas on Saturday morning.
  • Residents and visitors along Visayas-Mindanao should closely monitor the development of Tropical Depression 27W.
